We are excited to announce that the medical staff from last year will be present and treating athletes again this year! The staff is built from Maryland's best, ready to treat athletes on both days of competition.

Allen Manison, DC, DACBSP, CCEP, CSCS
Dr. Manison owns and operates Columbia Advanced Chiropractic, LLC in Columbia, Maryland. He is one only 360 chiropractors to hold the title of Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Sports Physicians® (DACBSP®) , He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and has undergone extensive training to earn the designate of Certified Chiropractic Extremity Practitioner (CCEP). He is certified in Active Release Techniques (ART), Graston Technique, Cox flexion/distraction, Dry Needling, KinesioTape, RockTape, and more. Dr. Manison also uses Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy in his office. He has been published on the topic of treatment for cervical spine disc pathology and he wrote a chapter in the third edition of the RockTape manual. Dr. Manison has vast experience working with athletes and he has been working with Crossfitters for years.
Josh Bross, MS, DC, CSCS
As a skilled chiropractor, Dr. Josh Bross brings added value to his patients as he specializes in Active Release and Graston Techniques, and Sports Medicine including serving as a Certified Chiropractic Sports Practitioner (CCSP) and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. His unique approach to individualized patient care is based on the evaluation and treatment of the “whole” person. As a leader in the promotion of health and wellness, Dr. Bross has accumulated an extensive knowledge of the musculoskeletal and nutritional components of the human body. His passion for better health for his patients led to the establishment of Elite Chiropractic & Sport.
Gina Palermo, MS, ATC, LAT
Gina joined Pivot Physical Therapy in 2005 as the athletic trainer for Howard High School in Howard County. In additional to her certification as an athletic trainer, Gina is certified in Performance Enhancement, Fitness Nutrition, and is a Golf Fitness Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Gina is also an instructor for the care and prevention of athletic injuries and a certified CPR and AED instructor through the National Safety Council.
Gina’s background includes experiences at the high school (Howard, and Frazier High School), Amateur (United States Figure Skating, United State Olympic Training Center, and United States Golf Association US Open) and Professional (Boston Red Sox Baseball Club) levels. Gina has been actively involved in athletic training at the state, district, and national level since becoming a member of the NATA in 2002 and BOC certified in 2006. She is currently the chair for the secondary school athletic trainer committee for the state of Maryland.
Gina began her athletic training interest in high school under her athletic trainer. Gina studied exercise science and sport studies at Rutgers University- New Brunswick and received a Bachelor of Science Degree in 2004. Upon graduating, she pursued a Masters of Science in Athletic Training from California University of PA.
Raymond Infanti, DC
Dr. Infanti has been providing chiropractic services in the Annapolis community since 1995. Born in Newark and raised in Brick, New Jersey, Dr. Infanti received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University in 1989 and his Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1994. Dr. Infanti has received additional certifications in Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, Kinesiology Taping, Dry Needling and the Treatment of Golf Related Injuries from Professional Sports Care (Sponsored by the PGA Tour), Titleist Performance Institute and he is a Level I Fascial Stretch Therapist. Dr. Infanti was asked in 2008 to be a part of the PGA Tour Medical Staff and has since worked over 25 professional golf events including the past 4 U.S. Opens. Dr. Infanti is the team chiropractor for 3 Baltimore Oriole affiliates, the Aberdeen Ironbirds, Delmarva Shorebirds and Frederick Keys.
Patti DeNardo, DC
Dr. Patricia DeNardo is a 2011 graduate of New York Chiropractic College where she learned how to utilize the most up to date chiropractic techniques. She earned her undergraduate degree, a bachelor of science from Keuka College. Her background is working with a variety of patients from infants to elderly. She is experienced in treating many different musculoskeletal conditions, along with many different treatment modalities. In addition to this she is certified in Active Release Technique, Graston Technique, Kinesio Taping and Webster Technique.
Crystal Surprenant, MS, CMT, DC
Dr. Crystal Surprenant graduated with a Bachelor of Science in psychology from Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She then earned a Master of Science in athletic counseling from Springfield College in Springfield Massachusetts. She competed in the women’s hammer and weight throws for the Marquette University track and field team and earned three silver medals in Conference USA and broke the school hammer record. She also coached the women’s throws events for the Springfield College track and field team. She practiced as the staff chiropractor at Chicago Sports Orthopedics where she gained a great depth of knowledge for treating and rehabbing work-related, sports, traumatic, and repetitive stress injuries by working alongside the sports medicine orthopedic surgeon, sports medicine specialist, and physical therapists specializing in athletic rehabilitation. Before pursing chiropractic, Dr. Surprenant practiced as a licensed massage therapist for eight years treating a wide variety of conditions including, acute and chronic low back and neck pain, headaches, shoulder pain, knee and ankle conditions and elbow and wrist conditions.

Our team of Soft Tissue Specialists and Certified Fascial Stretch Therapists can play a significant role in minimizing chronic imbalances or injuries and promoting muscular recovery time – both of which provide any athlete and any active individual the edge they need to compete more effectively. Fascial stretch therapy focuses on lengthening and re-aligning the body to relieve pain, improve performance and achieve flexibility and strength and soft tissue therapy is utilized to reduce trigger points, scar tissue, fascial adhesions and restrictions, and to improve mobility and increase stability.
Tim Happel, MS, ATC, LAT
Tim Happel is a licensed athletic trainer (LAT) with a MS in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention as well as a NASM certified Performance Enhancement Specialist with eight years of experience working at every level from youth to professional athletics. Tim works for MedStar National Rehab Network and he is contracted to work at Howard Community College as the athletic trainer for HCC College athletics.
